About The Drawn Line

Drawn Line_Portrait

So far this blog is mostly full up with these super small sketches that I made to fulfill my Sketch-a-day Challenge, but there’s a lot more to see here.

My goal has always been to show you a behind the lines look at the process of putting together my comic The Dawn Line.

Dawn Line - Page 1 - Final Form - PrintThis is a story that I started in the summer of 2014, and one that I worked on in Steve Rolston’s Introduction to Comic Book Production class.

When I do get around to posting about the comic, you will see everything from the script to the final pages and whatever else that goes on between those drawn lines.

At times, this blog will also offer a perspective on the theory and practice of making comic, but those posts are time consuming, and I am at my core a very lazy person.

There you have it: sketches, comics, and discourse. That’s The Drawn Line in a nutshell.

If you are into comics and want to tell me all about it, don’t be a stranger. You can comment on this page, tweet @drawn_line, email at thedrawnline@hotmail.com, or if you live in the Greater Vancouver Area, you can always try yelling really loudly.  Whichever way you choose, I’d love to hear from you.
